Hot Rod History

Hot Rods & Horsepower was the first company to ever produce a stamped steel, closed-car body. We became involved with building their Distinctive Deuce 3W bodies when our location purchased all of the remaining stamping that was produced in the year 2002.

Some of our staff members operated the east coast assembly facility, where we also assembled the bodies on our own jigs. When Hot Rods & Horsepower closed operations in 2006, we brought all of the remaining body panels for coupes. Today, we offer these unique hot rod bodies under our own banner.

Hot Rods

Unlike other stamped steel, coupe bodies offered today, these panels are the only ones made from the start to be a hot rod body. The panels feature steel bracing throughout with no wood used at all. The top is chopped at 2 ½" and the roof is filled. When examining the details of this body, you’ll see that it comes with all the modifications that make it a true hot rod body.

Muscle Cars

Our custom car shop is also fluent in Tri-five Chevy’s^™ and muscle cars, including the Chevelles^™. Produced as a labor of love, we are happy to perform any modifications you require, such as air bag suspensions, drive train modifications, and award-winning body and paint jobs.
